Martini Break - The Peachtini
Divas, I don’t know about you, but this week has been especially trying! The crazy weather…the long work hours…the Super Bowl! Needless to say, I am anxiously anticipating the weekend. As expected, and requested, I have another delicious martini recipe for you! This week I decided to go with a simple, yet satisfying, recipe. In fact, this is the first specialty martini I created. I’ve certainly tweaked it a bit over the years, but it is still a winner!
Many of you may not know that I moonlighted as a bartender while I was in college. It was a great way to make a little extra money, and it helped me to purchase my very first car (R.I.P. to the Neon). This recipe seemed so appropriate after a week where I found myself getting back to the basics. As Professional Divas, we sometimes have to take a step away from our current situations in the work place, and take a step back into a simpler time. Why? Because sometimes the simplest solution is the best solution. I retreated to this mantra several times during this trying week….and it worked every time! So I figured that this week’s recipe should reflect my week! A little self-centered, I agree, but you Divas get a great martini recipe in the deal. So without further adieu, I present my very first specialty martini: The Peachtini!

2 oz of Peach Flavored Vodka
2 oz of Peach Schnapps (1 oz for a stronger taste)

Sliced Peaches for Garnish
