Happy Monday Divas and Gents! And welcome to the month of October! As you know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. According to the Centers for Disease Control, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States, and is one of the leading causes of cancer death among women of all races. Additionally, the American Cancer Society estimates that 2,140 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed among men in 2011.
This month, several entities will feature opportunities for us to score fabulous items for our wardrobes, jewelry boxes, and homes with some or all of the proceeds being donated to organizations dedicated to eradicating this disease. I'm sure many of you have used Conair's products. Curling irons, blow dryers, hot rollers, electrical shavers...the list goes on and on. The Conair corporation has partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the fight to find a cure by establishing the Power of Pink campaign. With the purchase of any of the Power of Pink products, Conair will donate a minimum of $100,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
